Feeling normal.

Since March 1st (3 1/2 months ago) life has been.....well, kind of crazy. I guess the craziness started a bit before March, but that is when we moved from our house into the condo. And started the intense house search. We found our house, bought it, and immediately started major renovations. And by May 15th, we moving into our semi-complete home.

Just over a month later, it is about 80% complete. Maybe a little more. But it is finally starting to feel like home, as more things get organized and completed. Life is settling down at the moment, and it feels pretty good. Especially as we head into summer - and have a pretty much blank slate!

And now for some family updates:

C is growing like crazy. Even pictures I looked at from a month ago - he is wearing clothes that he has completely grown out of. His feet are size 11, and he is in everything 4T. He has long legs and arms. He is also getting a little "attitude" now. Which I actually find pretty funny at this point. I know with girls, the attitude usually comes a lot sooner. But his tone can be pretty testy sometimes. It is fun to watch his personality develop a little bit more everyday.

N is a funny girl. She loves to laugh, and be a total ham. She can also be verrrry clingy. Putting her down can be a huge effort, because she would be content 90% of her awake time to be on my hip! She is also very happy to be walking now. Holding onto both our hands. And don't think for one second that one hand is enough. She will throw a fit if you try even for a second to remove one hand from her tight little grip =). I was watching her today standing up in the bathroom (inspecting everything in the drawer) and she is looking very stiff and sturdy now. And she will let go and still have her balance. But I don't think she realizes she isn't holding onto anything! She is my cautious little one, and it is really a nice change from my, always in a huge rush, constantly bonking into everything, little one =). Her vocabulary is getting quite large, which is really fun! In the last couple weeks she has added "bike", "ball", "bye daddy!", "bye baby!" and "here you go".

J's company is getting really busy! He is getting 15-20 calls per day, and we are really excited about what this means for the future =) (ie. More vehicles!!)

I think I am starting to get my groove back. I have been enjoying baking again now that we are settled, and am looking forward to slowly decorating the house and making it a bit more like our home. Some days I feel like I could pick up clothes, toys, food, sippy cups, make food and clean up food all day long. And some days it is really hard to see the purpose or gratification in all the menial tasks of being home with two small kids brings. I am definitely learning about myself, that I need other things in my life to feel emotionally sane! Now that we are more settled, I will be looking for extra-curricular activities for myself. Might have to wait until fall, we shall see! I have also put myself onto the casual on-call list at work. I have been able to pick up a couple shifts so far, which has been really great! It is show home work, and the hours are 12-5, which is a really nice time in the day for us.

That is our life right now in a nut-shell. I am really loving my new blogging spot - and hope to do lots of updating from here =).
