Big update.

1.) The completion date for our house sale is February 23rd, and we are moving March 1st. Since we couldn't find anything we really wanted to buy, and didn't want to rush into buying something we didn't really love, we have decided to rent for a while. I am just so happy we have somewhere to move! We are moving into one of the buildings the developer I used to work for built. The up side is it is a brand new unit, and it is on the ground floor, with walk out access to the courtyard! It is also the closet unit to the the front door, and its assigned parking stalls are very close to the elevator. I can see this being handy with the kids. The downside is, we are going to have to place a lot of our stuff in storage. We are moving from a house with a basement, attic, and carport, to a just over 1000sqft. unit! I am sure the unit will work just fine for the stuff we need in the immediate future, as our main floor isn't much bigger right now. It is just all the extra stuff that you need/accumulate when you have a house that we will need to store. Another upside is that this new home will be about a 5 min. drive to John's work. And to C's preschool!

2.) John got a new job!! He starts on February 22nd. After a week of "vacation" (if you consider packing vacation.) We are all very excited about this new close proximity to work, and the fact that he is going to be out of Aviation. A career path that he has never really enjoyed. He is a natural sales person, and has been living that out in his current position, but now he gets to couple that ability with another passion of his. Telecommunication. This is like a match made in heaven for him. He will be selling and managing all the business accounts at a local company that sells Telus products. I think he will excel, and love this position. And NO more huge commute!

So new job, new house. Just a couple minor changes over here!
